My oldest daughter came down to visit today for the weekend with the grandson, and I was wondering what I would write about . In spending time with my grandson it always makes me think back to when my girls were his age, and the different things I'd do with the girls to keep them busy. I happen to remember the girls playing with beads and getting into making what was called beadie buddies. They were made with pony beads and made into all kinds of little critters. Frogs, bears, ladybugs ect. To this day I still have some of the buddies they made. My youngest daughter made the critters while the oldest put them in her hair starting a braid putting on a bead, braiding a little more, adding a bead and brainding more. It kept them both busy as they both had very long hair. As I watch my grandson grow up I am looking forward to teaching him different crafts, as I did the girls, and watch him develop his own talents and creative side. |
