You ever go into the store looking for something nice for an ankle bracelet. They are either to expensive or nice n cute and cheaply made. I got tired of that after buying two and both of them breaking. Since I do beading I figured it couldn't be that hard to come up with some nice original anklets. This one to the right on my daughters ankle is made with earthy brown and white beads with a dolphin hanging in the center. I used a thin jewerly wire and a lobster claw hook with a slip ring. The beads for ankle bracelets don't really cost much and you can find a good selection in Walmart in the craft dept. or in your local craft stores. This second picture though it didnt come out well is with dark blue and white beads

with dragon flies, again using fine jewerly wire which works best for something like this, and lobster claw hook. (You can make a loop in the end, in place of a slip ring but you loose a bit of strength and length.)I do leave a little length on the wire to put back down through the beads and make it all stronger. My third anklet, I originally made bracelets, but liked it so well I made an anklet to match. This last anklet is made with colored sworskian crystal beads and pearl beads alternating, pearls and colors.

This is also a great project for those left over beads from other projects as well. Just a little mix and matching of colors and styles on beads, jewerly wire, lobster hook and slip rings and your good to go for a quick rainy day project.
