Wire Bracelet designs

A few years ago I was working with my other half doing cable jobs, so I always came by different things that could be used for whatever the imagination could think up. Now not everyone can come by wire like I did but I think if one checked around you could find a place that sold cable related items. The bracelets to the left are made out of cable lashing wire and beads. Lashing wire is a bit heavier then picture wire but flexible enough to bend and design with. Every now and then I will be doing things and ideas just kinda pop in and plant themselves and these bracelets was one of those "funky" ideas. I was cleaning house and getting stuff more organized and putting away one of those rolls of lashing wire when I came up with this "I wonder if it can be done" thing. So getting out my beads to see what I had and what would go together I proceeded to create my new ideas. Using a small round perscription bottle I bent and shaped the wire. I started out with a piece about 1 1/2 ft long and bent it in half the two ends I shaped into hooks to hook the bracelet with. Taking thin jewerly wire I added on the beads wrapping the wire around the "frame" of the bracelet to secure it in place. The whole thing from start to finish took about an hour, but then designing is never a quick thing. For other beaded jewerly I've done check out my craft site at www.geocities.com/onelovnhart
