Well its fast becoming that time of year again when we send all our youngins back to school. Fall is coming up on us equally as fast and soon we will be shuffling through the leaves. I always liked to bring in bright colored leaves and acorns and try to make things with them. I usually ended up taking paper and crayons and coloring over the leaf, then cut out and put on the windows for decoration. Another quick fall decor is indian corn. Some folk like to grow this and use it for different kinds of decorations. I had gotten some small indian corn so put three of them together tied with wire and twisted it into a hook to hang them by, added a ribbon and I had a nice decor to hang on the door. As you know by now if you follow my blogs I do many different kinds of crafts so around here during the different holidays you never know what I will have hanging up.Last year when I got into wood crafts I had done up some pumpkins, and ghosts, add in some stain glass window decals and the place was ready for the season at hand. This year I'm going to do up some stain glass mobiles with leaves and such for the fall season and take it right on into the the rest of the holidays yet to come.This is also the time of year I start making my Christmas gifts in order to get them done in time, along with any other craft orders I may get along the way. |
