To the right 1 sheet acrylic (can be gotten at Lowes or Home Depot) Size depends on you and what application it is being used for. Gallery glass stain glass paints (found at Jo-Ann fabrics/ AC Moore or other like craft shops) For colors you will need the following: Ruby red (15) Kelly green (08) Saphire (37) Purple (24) Snow white (02) Lime green (35) Berry red (23) Yellow ochre (461) Itialian sage (459) Butter pecan (460) You can print out my picture and enlarge it to give you a pattern to go by for the teardrop and the coloring on the rooster. You can use any color for your background, though I chose the blue to make it more natural. Using a drill or dremel tool drill a small hole in the top point of the teardrop and add a black small link chain or some type of hanger. A suction cup with a hook is also useable for this, just make sure you have the right size suction cup for the size you make the teardrop. Example; if you make this a 13x8 as I did you need a large size suction cup to hold the weight. If you want to hang this outside I would suggest doing a couple coats of interior/exterior varnish after the stainglass paint is throughly cured and dried, otherwise over time you will have to retouch up your hard work. |
