As many readers know I've done handcrafts for years and my girls have added in their own flare of crafts as well. Since both my girls got into beading together when they were both here, my oldest, Sam has "gone to town" on beading, creating her own styles which, I have to puff up here and say she has outdone herself. Her new sets are laid out on her bead box cover to the right. You should be able to click on it to enlarge the picture. One thing I have to say and remind any one who is crafty, is to encourage your kids through the years to make things. Wether it be things for Christmas gifts, or gifts for other occassions or a just because type of craft, encourage it and even help them with their project by giving them ideas or materials you may have laying around just waiting to be used for something useful. As you see the older my girls got the more creative they became and of course that makes me the mom as proud as a peacock. Beading is addicting and contagious as Sam can well vouch for. She has her friend at work getting into beading and going to the bead store with her. Wait till they go to the Beading Path store in Freeport, Maine, they will be in 7th heaven! Its a beaders paradise with all kinds of beads and findings ect. to go with them. Its a store that the imagination of creating beaded projects is endless.
