Garden Ornament

First I want to let everyone know who is in Maine and close enough to come, I will be at yet another yardsale at the Odd Fellows Hall on Rt, 302 in North Windham on July 19th. Hope to see some of ya there. I also want to thank everyone for checking out my websites. I've had lots of compliments and one espcially from Kate Haab who is an editor for igomogul. Thanks I really appreciate it. Now onto more crafts.. It never ceases to amaze me at how crafty my girls are at times. Last week my youngest Lynn-Ann stopped by after work to hang out for a bit and visit. Lynnie, like she always does got into my craft materials and decided to make something with beads and wire. Mind you I was working on my scroll saw projects so only was out off and on to see what she was making. At one point I found her wrapping some lashing wire around my broom handle, then wrapped some around a pencil. What started out as one single wire, bent into a twist, turned out to be a neat looking ornament that could be hung most anywhere. This one I hung by my humming bird feeder, and they seem to like it. I saw the hummer checking it out before she dove into getting necter from my flowers and her feeder. Hanging in the center is a couple crystal beads and a small seashell. I'm in process of getting Lynnie to make some more of these neat hanging ornaments which aren't really hard to make at all.You just need good sturdy wire ,(we used lashing as we had it left over from working in the cable field a few yrs ago) some different sized beads (you can pick up a package at Walmart in their craft dept. of both beads and shells.) and some imagination. When ideas and materials are mixed you never know what we will come up with.! If anyone picks up on this idea I'd love to see your designs. These are very simuliar to things you see in the garden dept at any one of  Lowes, Home Depot and Walmart stores. Lynnie just left the bottle off this one and made her own unique design for the center piece. A colored bottle would be great for this as well if you have a glass cutter. Just cut off the bottom of the bottle and drill with a diamond drillbit, how ever many holes you want to hang from then just connect your wire and such and you have your own unique garden ornament.
